Why do people still think diet has nothing to do with acne?

MR12 asked:

I still see people in this website saying diet has nothing to do with diet, why do people still think this?
I know for a fact it does, and there have actually been studies that show it does. Doctors that say it has no effect are behind on the times.

    Losing weight without starving yourself

Many doctors agree that diet has little to no effect on acne. If you disagree, that’s all fine and dandy, but I’ve read it everywhere – that’s what the doctor’s say!

It does to acne prone people. I blame hereditary or/and if you where raise with parents like mine. That don’t know what foods are healthy.

    Slim down – remove fat

The thing with acne is it really does affect people differently. Thats why I call it the trial and error disease. You may have to try many different things before finding something that works.

    Whats my experience?

We I have been an acne sufferer for almost 30 years. I am here to tell you that changing my diet did help me. But as many have said thats not always the case. You have to consider this disease yours and just do what works for you
